Turmeric has been revered in Ayurvedic medicine for thousands of years for its balancing and purifying qualities. Recently it's become the trending topic of contemporary health gurus for its anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and antioxidant properties. Not to mention it boosts immunity and well-being. But the reason why we love Turmeric so much? It’s earthy, tropical flavor!

This cocktail recipe that's now a part of our regular rotation; with and without the Bourbon, was brought to us by ALXEATS in Toronto, Canada. They're a Canadian food and lifestyle brand that we just had to showcase. Our "Turmeric Spice Lemonade" twist on the previously known "Spiked and Spiced Lemonade" is easy to put together, taste's terrific, and made with attention to detail.

Ingredients: Bulleit Bourbon, Organic Turmeric, Fresh Lemon, Black Pepper, Cayenne Pepper, Dried Oregano, Fresh Mint

Preparation: Stovetop, then chilled

*What You'll Need: Spring Water, Sweetener of Choice (Maple, Sugar or Honey)

(1) 2 Oz Black Pepper

(1) 2 Oz Cayenne Pepper

(1) 2 Oz Dried Oregano
